The Draycott Arms
A sizeable whitewashed pub prominently situated on a bend on a now-bypassed section of the A50 trunk road. Still appears to be thriving on StreetView. The new road opened in the 1990s so that can’t really be blamed.
The Swan
A four-square pub that appears to have had a new brick facade added early in the last century. Note the signs inviting you to “Run This Pub”.
The Traveller’s Rest
A handsome brick-built former Greenalls pub with sandstone mullions in a leafy spot at one of the town’s highest points. Its secluded location means there isn’t a direct view on StreetView, so the link is to the aerial view, which shows several cars on the car park.
The Honiton Inn
An attractive gabled pub standing amongst modern office blocks just to the west of the city centre.
The Rainsough Brew
Formerly the Staff of Life, a modern estate-style pub whose name is a pun on that of the steep hill on which it stands.
The Colliers Arms
A small roadside former Thwaites pub, just down the road from the Turf Hotel. The StreetView images seem to have been taken in fog.
The Brooklands
Although not boarded up, this pub seems to be being used as the office for a building site.

A typical small Black Country pub next to a canal bridge, still open on StreetView.
The Castle Inn
A solid mock-Tudor inn shown on StreetView as offering bed and breakfast, on a bypassed section of the old Manchester Road south-west of the town centre.
The Crawford Hotel
An impressive, neo-classical pub-cum-hotel on the southern fringes of the city, still open on StreetView.
The Grapes
A small, landlocked street-corner pub in a pedestrianised shopping area. Note how, compared with the StreetView image, the lettering has been removed from the gable end. Photos taken on 14 February 2012, three days after the pub closed – Robinson’s didn’t mess about with removing their signage.
