A chalet-style 1930s roadhouse in the strip of countryside between Widnes and Liverpool. The extent of the car park suggests that at one time this was a very popular destination pub.
Deserves a comment; Once best singing pub in the N.E. area of Liverpool. Saturday night, the warm-up was a set of tunes in an order we were quite familiar with and then, after a few pints, singers were called to entertain. No speaker - you had to make yourself heard. Jack

My mum and dad had this pub in the 1970's. Was always full from Thursday to Sunday.
