Recording the slow, sad death of the British pub
A substantial 1930s cottage-style roadhouse with a pair of black-and-white gables now tucked away behind a high fence. The M40 bypassing this stretch of the A40 was opened in 1967, so can hardly be blamed for the pub’s decline.
