A rather impressive inter-wars pub in a kind of Arts and Crafts style, situated in the Lliswerry district on the eastern side of the city. It is now to be demolished and replaced with a block of fifteen flats.

The Beaufort Arms
A roadside pub on the A472 between Usk and Pontypool, which was CAMRA South & Mid Wales Pub of the Year in 1990.
The Black Horse
A gabled pub set back from the road on a street corner in the eastern part of the city, just down the road from the King.

An impressive redbrick street-corner pub probably dating from the late Victorian or Edwardian period, once well known as a bikers’ haunt.

An imposing two-bay brick-built pub, possibly late Victorian or Edwardian, formerly known as the King of Prussia, on the eastern side of the Usk.
The Old Castle
A white-painted pub in the backwaters of the South Wales mining valleys. And no, that isn’t smoke rising from the chimney. If you move forward in StreetView you will see that many windows are broken.

A monumental, city-style pub in this South Wales industrial town.
