The Prince of Wales

The Prince of Wales, Buxton, Derbyshire

A small former Marston’s pub just off the town centre on the main road to Chapel-en-le-Frith. The proximity of Buxton’s Wetherspoon’s may have contributed to its demise.

  1. When I took a picture in 2011 (See http://www.philwieland.com/postcard/s/sb1.html near the bottom of the page.) the sign said PRINCE OF ALES, a rather good name for a pub, I thought.

(Let me know if you want a full resolution version of my shot.)
