The Farm Yard

The Farm Yard, Harpurhey, Manchester

A monumental Rochdale Road pub built by Threlfalls in 1896 and now serving as Manchester Creative Learning Centre. Maybe surprisingly, it survived as a pub well into the 21st century.

  1. My grandad used to drink in there back in the 60s. It was his local. When his brother died in '99 we (the family) all decamped there after the funeral to toast him. It was the first time I'd ever been in there. It was fascinating to think ny grandad had drunk in there from the '40s onwards.

  2. I remember going there for some event from work in the early 1980s. A huge rambling palce inside - sold huge amounts of keg Trophy in those days.
