Recording the slow, sad death of the British pub
A substantial Jacobean-style pub alongside a widened main road on the north side of the city, next to what looks like a row of back-to-back houses.
I lived nearby in 1985/86 when this was a busy Tetley's pub, one of several in this part of Leeds. There used to be a very good curry house next door (now demolished) where you were allowed to bring a jug of beer from the pub to have with your meal.
