Recording the slow, sad death of the British pub
Yet another magnificent inter-wars Midlands roadhouse-cum-estate pub on the north side of Coventry.
Edit 17/04/17: I'm informed that this pub was reopened and is still very much in business. See here.
I used to come this pub on a regular basis c.1964/65, when a cracking band ('group' it would have been called then) used to play on, I think, Sunday evenings and one night in the week. It was real, quality, FREE music of the day.
an eyesore and blot on the area
Pub is still running, under new ownership :-) http://thepilotcoventry.wixsite.com/pilotpub
